Who Is James McGrane

Good day, my name is James McGrane, however, I generally use the nickname Skip. I am a quiet, professional-type entrepreneur. My bio includes a generous amount of educational background and a variety of work experiences in the area of health care and program management. I have been described as a good listener, a problem solver, and a caring human being. I am thoughtful, perceptive and positive.

After graduation from the University of Nebraska with a D.D.S. degree, I went to Australia to practice dentistry. At the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne some of us were concerned about how the hospital administration influenced the professional staff and our patients. I remembered the old adage that if you were not part of the solution, you were part of the problem. At that point I enrolled in a Dental Public Health program back in the U.S. in order to gain knowledge and skills in program management and administration.

As the Director of Dental Programs at Normandale Community College I provided leadership and supervision of the dental programs and taught selected courses in the programs. I currently provide clinical supervision for the dental hygiene program at the Fox Valley Technical College.

I practiced as a general dentist at Dental Associates, Ltd., a large multi-specialty group practice. I provided oral diagnosis and treatment planning for our patients while establishing consulting relationships with the various dental specialties in the practice.

I have recent sales and marketing experience with insurance and network marketing. I worked with Aflac as an independent associate marketing supplemental insurance products. I developed and operate an independent network marketing venture doing business under the name Yarragroup. I represent and market products in Personal Development, Financial Education, and Internet business resources.

My personal interests include reading, music, cooking and travel. I love to experience an occasional overseas adventure and especially enjoyed time in Australia.
